"Ang isang Bagong Daigdig na makatao at mapagkalinga para sa mga manggagawa ay posible... Likhain natin ito"
(" Towards a New World that is Just and Humane for the Workers is Possible... Let us Build It")
The Pambansang Asosasyon ng mga Panday at Alyadong Industriya - PANDAY ( National Association of Construction Workers and
Allied Industries ) was founded in July 7, 2006 with National organizing committee from Quezon City, Nueva Ecija, Bulacan,
Leyte, Cagayan de Oro, Bicol, Bataan and BASULTA ( Basilan, Sulu, Tawi-tawi ) and Mandaue in Cebu. But due lock of resources
for organizing, the association limits it operations / organizing to only 3 adjacent areas ( Quezon City, Bulacan and Nueva
Ecija )
PANDAY is engaged into organizing construction workers in communities. Most of PANDAY members ( skilled or unskilled)
do not have regular jobs. They are always being hired as contractual or per project basis.
PANDAY aims to uplift the living condition of its members thru enhancing their skills, establishing alternative livelihood
projects, and working for having mutual aid and protection.
PANDAY advocates for the ratification of ILO Convention 167 and for MAGNA CARTA FOR CONSTRUCTION WORKES in the PHILIPPINES.
PANDAY also advocates for the full implementation of occupational safety and health program ( Department Order # 13 of
